Salary Range $120,188 to $140,170 + 15.4% super

We are looking for a passionate and motivated ICT Contracts and Procurement manager to join AMSA, where you will work with significant autonomy providing contracts, accounts and procurement support and advice. This is a new position created within AMSA’s ITS Accounts, Contracts and Procurement team. The position is being offered in Canberra on an ongoing basis.

  • Utilise your Contract Management skills and experience to track and report on contract expenditure.
  • Assist in the management of a diverse range of technology contracts, with a particular emphasis on major software contracts.
  • Be part of an agency supporting essential Government services, including promoting maritime safety and protection of the marine environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the section head, a successful candidate will use their strong Contract Management skills to support AMSA’s ICT accounts, contracts and procurement activities. This position will also oversee the workflow for ICT related invoices and handling general procurement enquiries carried out by the teams IT Purchasing Co-Ordinator.

You will be responsible for:

  • Contract Management, with a particular emphasis on ensuring licencing arrangements are optimised for major software contracts (Microsoft, Adobe and Oracle).
  • Working closely with stakeholders to provide input into the ICT budget forecasts, including implementing a structured and repeatable approach to presenting data.
  • Undertaking analysis and preparing reports in relation to contract and procurement activities.
  • Analysing contract funding approvals to ensure PGPA Act compliance.
  • Providing support and leadership for the IT Purchasing Co-Ordinator.

 SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Government Contract Management and Procurement experience, ideally with skills that extend to managing large software contracts.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience working in a fast moving government ICT environment, including tracking contract expenditure and providing input into ICT budget forecasts.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel.
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to collaborate broadly across AMSA business lines and IT Services to achieve positive outcomes for AMSA.
  • Good working knowledge of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act and the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
