We are looking for a passionate and motivated leader to fill the Head of ITS Accounts, Contracts & Procurement Manager position at the Australian Maritime Safety Authority and is a highly autonomous senior role. This position is being offered in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane on an ongoing basis.

Seeking a passionate & motivated leader to fill the Head of ITS Accounts, Contracts & Procurement Manager role at AMSA and is a highly autonomous senior role.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure, Ops & Cybersecurity, the Head of ITS Accounts, Contracts & Procurement Manager will lead and manage a diverse team of advisors and admins.
The Head of ITS Accounts, Contracts & Procurement Manager is responsible for:
- Account Management: Oversee the management of IT service accounts, ensuring all services are delivered as per agreements.
- Contract Management: Develop, negotiate, and manage IT contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
- Procurement: Lead the procurement of IT services and products, ensuring cost-effectiveness, compliance and quality.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage budgets for IT services, contracts, and procurement activities.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT services, contracts, and procurement.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of IT services and vendors, ensuring they meet AMSA’s standards.
- Policy Development: Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to IT services, contracts, and procurement.
- Operate: with a high level of autonomy, working under the broad guidance of ITS Directors.
- Commit: to the AMSA Code of Conduct and Values
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or other relevant skills in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT services, contract management, and procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IT services and procurement processes.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- In-depth understanding of vendor management and procurement strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
