About the Role
This role provides senior technical capability across AMSA’s Microsoft 365 and cloud environment, ensuring services remain secure, stable and fit for purpose in support of national operational, regulatory and corporate functions.
Working within established ICT governance and service management frameworks, you will take a lead role in operational support, incident resolution and continuous improvement across Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Azure services. You will work closely with Infrastructure, Enterprise Platforms, Cyber Security and Service Management teams to support reliable and secure ICT services across the organisation.
In this role you will:
- Operate and improve Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive
- Manage cloud identity and access services including Entra ID lifecycle, conditional access and privileged access controls
- Support Azure platform foundations enabling Microsoft 365 and hybrid services, ensuring resilience and alignment with architecture standards
- Lead resolution of complex incidents and problems, including root cause analysis and reduction of recurring issues
- Implement and maintain security controls in collaboration with Cyber Security and the IT Security Advisor
- Contribute to technical documentation, runbooks, change activities, service reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
You will bring:
- Strong experience operating Microsoft 365 in a medium to large enterprise environment
- Hands-on experience with Entra ID, identity governance and conditional access
- Experience supporting Azure subscriptions, tenant foundations and hybrid identity services
- Working knowledge of cloud security tools such as Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview
- Experience operating within ITSM, change management and audit/governance frameworks
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD principles (desirable)
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and provide escalation-level support across technical teams
- Formal IT qualifications or Microsoft cloud certifications (desirable)
