About the Role
As a Flag State Certification Coordinator, you'll support the certification of Australian-registered ships to help ensure they meet Australia's national and international maritime requirements.
Reporting to the Principal Marine Surveyor Flag State, you'll provide business coordination and regulatory support across a broad range of certification activities, working closely with internal stakeholders to support the efficient delivery of Flag State certification services.
In this role you will:
- Coordinate business and regulatory activities supporting the certification of Australian-registered ships.
- Prepare and issue statutory certificates, exemptions, approvals and other regulatory documentation.
- Maintain regulatory records, reporting and business systems to support compliance and operational delivery.
- Prepare reports, briefings, correspondence and other documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate meetings, recognised organisation activities and financial administration while supporting continuous improvement across the team.
What We're Looking For
You'll bring:
- Experience coordinating business, administrative or regulatory activities in a government, compliance or other complex operating environment.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple activities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Well-developed written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, briefings, correspondence and other business documentation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships and provide professional support to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies or procedures while maintaining accurate records.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications and business systems to coordinate work, manage information and support business operations.
