About the Role

This role delivers hands-on infrastructure support across AMSA’s Microsoft environment, helping ensure the reliability, security and performance of systems that underpin national operations, including Search and Rescue.

Working within defined operational frameworks, you will support core infrastructure services across on-premises and cloud environments, contributing to service stability, security and ongoing improvement. You will work closely with architecture, cyber security and platform teams, escalating complex or high-risk issues where required.

In this role you will:

  • Operate and maintain Windows Server and virtualisation platforms across on-premises and cloud environments
  • Administer identity and messaging services, including Active Directory, Entra ID and Exchange Online
  • Ensure availability, performance and resilience of infrastructure through monitoring, backup and recovery practices
  • Perform patching, vulnerability remediation and security hardening in line with standards and procedures
  • Contribute to incident, problem and change management activities, providing technical input and implementation support
  • Maintain accurate documentation and configuration records, supporting consistency and continuous improvement

 

What We're Looking For

You will bring:

  • Experience supporting Windows-based server environments in an enterprise setting Practical experience with virtualised infrastructure platforms and associated tooling
  • Working knowledge of identity and access services (Active Directory, Group Policy, Entra ID)
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 messaging services, including Exchange Online
  • Strong understanding of patching, vulnerability remediation and secure configuration practices
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management processes (incident, problem, change, configuration)
  • Ability to work independently within defined frameworks and escalate appropriately
  • Experience in government, regulated or business-critical environments (desirable)
  • Relevant Microsoft or infrastructure certifications (desirable)
  • Behaviours aligned with One AMSA values and ways of working
